Biggest AKC win to date came to Image (Vintage Image Etched in Glass) in Council Bluffs! After a stellar ring performance to take Best of Breed in Pembrokes, adding points toward his championship, he went on to the Herding Group rings in both normal competition and the National Owner Handler Series. In NOHS, he took a GROUP 2 out of a 10+ dog lineup. He also got some nice compliments from the judge. Proud of our homegrown boy!

10/18/2023 0 Comments A Few Years Have Passed...It's been a while since we've added to this page, and many Vintage Corgis have done many wonderful things in that time.
Most notably, "Xander" has finished many titles including his UKC Diamond Grand Championship, UKC Rally Grand Championship, AKC Grand Championship, and many performance titles between both venues. "Riley" has also been active in performance events, and has earned her UKC Emerald Grand Championship. Many puppies have passed through our show collars, earning UKC Championships and Grand Championships. Some have stayed with our program while others have gone to find new homes. Minor has retired from his show career with a stellar array of achievements. He will remain with us, a lifelong piece of our legacy and a vital foundation of our program. He still contributes to the siring of some of our American Corgis. Wall-e has retired from everything, and he too joins our lifelong pack. The foundation of everything, he is content to live his golden years as our best friend, the "old man." Jenna has aged out of Junior Showmanship and 4-H, also with a wonderful wall of wins and achievements. However, her love for dogs has not waned, and she continues to show Vintage Corgis with zeal. Continuing in both the breed ring as well as obedience and rally, she has also set her sights on trying out some new sports including nosework/scentwork and FastCAT in the near future. In addition, she has started her own American Corgi breeding program. We hope to return to posting here, though if a show is ever missed, you can watch our results on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/vintagecorgis. Vintage Corgis' first AKC conformation show featuring "Xander"! He earned his 4 points and his first major with a win of Best of Opposite Sex on the 24th!
We had a very pleasant last weekend of October in Gray Summit, MO for the UKC Gateway Nationals. We finished three titles total on our dogs; one was a championship on Vintage Ima Southern Rock Star while the other two were performance titles. Vintage Written In The Stars, "Riley," earned her URO1, and Laif Spring Nit Herd, "Xander," earned his UCD. With each obedience trial, Jenna also took home the High in Trial Junior Handler.
"Xander" also won a Best of Breed and Group 2 on Sunday. Our newest puppy, Vintage Keep My Secrets At Wind Dial ("Secret") also won a Reserve Best Puppy in Show on Saturday. Overall a very fun weekend! We had a very good show this weekend at Grinnel. Jenna won 3 of 4 Best Junior Handler competitions and Laif Spring Nit Herd, "Xander," got a Group 1st and two Group 2nds with his three Best of Breeds. Vintage Ima Minor Rock Star, "Minor," also won a Best of Breed and a Group 2nd. Our newest addition to our show crew, Vintage Ima Southern Rock Star (Kane), won two of the four Best in Show Non-Licensed Puppies available at this show. Congratulations to all!
